Red Bull Hints At Quitting Formula One

Red Bull and Toro Rosso team owner Dietrich Mateschitz hinted at quitting the Formula One racing series if politicization and sportsmanship issues continued. Formula One officials were obviously unhappy with Red Bull’s complete dominance in last year’s series and, seeking to avoid a repeat of the dominance, changed the rules for 2014 to even the playing field, one of those rules included a fuel consumption limit during a race. When Red Bull’s #2 driver Daniel Ricciardo finished second in Australia, Formula One officials immediately disqualified him for exceeding the fuel limits for the race with Red Bull claiming the F1’s official sensor was faulty and their sensor recorded an accurate reading that fell within the limits required for the race.

Unhappy Red Bull team owner Dietrich Mateschitz.

The second race of the 2014 Formula One racing season is at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on March 23, 2014.
