Red Bull Moves To Honda For 2019 Formula One Season

Red Bull has made it official – they will switch engine suppliers from Renault to Honda – for the 2019 [and 2020] Formula One racing seasons.

Prior to the divorce, Red Bull had been aligned with Renault for 12 years and won world championships with Sebastian Vettel at the wheel from 2010 to 2013.

However, since turbo hybrid engines were introduced into Formula 1 in 2014, Renault has been unable to replicate their success with Red Bull and have dropped behind both Mercedes and Ferrari.

Honda will now supply engines to both Red Bull and their junior team, Toro Rosso in 2019.
