Red Bull Threatens To Bail On Formula One

Faced with another year of non-competitive racing after Mercedes lapped nearly the entire field in the 2015 Formula One season-opening Australian Grand Prix, Red Bull has threatened to bail on the racing series if engine regulations are not changed to make the teams more even. Red Bull lost four-time defending champion, Sebastian Vettel to Ferrari this year and although their current top driver, Daniel Ricciardo, finished on the podium last year – he was a distant third behind the two Mercedes drivers, Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg.

Ricciardo finished sixth in last weekend’s Australian Grand Prix and his teammate Daniil Kyvat experienced a gearbox failure that knocked him out of the race before it began.

The second race of the 2015 Formula One season is the Malaysian Grand Prix currently scheduled at Kuala Lumpur on March 29, 2015.
