To the surprise of almost nobody, Renault announced that they intend to buy back the Lotus Formula One team – or at least controlling interest in the team – from the same corporate entity they sold it to five years ago, Gravity Motorsports/Genii Capital. Terms were not announced.
Lotus will compete as a Renault team beginning in the 2016 Formula One season.
