Whether or not Renault continues to be an engine supplier for Red Bull Racing teams in Formula One, hooks up with a new team, forms their own team or abandons Formula One racing altogether is a decision that is expected to be made later this year according to Renault managing director Cyril Abiteboul.

Renault currently has a contract with Red Bull Racing through 2016 but Abiteboul says that he expects that Red Bull will want to know the future of their relationship by the end of this year and foresees an announcement toward that end before 2015 ends.

The 2015 Formula One season continues with the Austrian Grand Prix in Spielberg at 5 a.m. [PDT] on NBCSN on June 21, 2015.
