Just a day after jettisoning Pastor Maldonado from its seat, Renault unveiled the car they will use to race in the upcoming 2016 Formula One racing season.
The new RS16 – as it is called – keeps the colors of the team’s former owners [Lotus] and will be piloted by Kevin Magnussen and Jolyon Palmer [with GP3 champion Esteban Ocon as the reserve driver.
Renault’s usage of the RS16 moniker are a historical progression from and reference to their original 1977 Formula One car – the RS01.
