Ricciardo Set To Return At This Weekend’s USA Grand Prix

After breaking his hand in a crash in a practice session two months ago at the 2023 Dutch Grand Prix, Alpha Tauri’s Daniel Ricciardo will make his return at this weekend’s 2023 United States Grand Prix in Austin, Texas.

The 34-year-old Australian missed a grand total of five grands prix during that time and was replaced by young New Zealand driver, Liam Lawson.

The 21-year-old Kiwi was able to finish ninth and secure two points at the 2023 Singapore Grand Prix for his best finish of the season.

After beginning the year as Red Bull’s reserve driver, the 2023 USA Grand Prix will be only Ricciardo’s third race since replacing Dutch driver Nyck de Vries in July.

Ricciardo – who was dropped by McLaren in 2022 – is already confirmed as an Alpha Tauri driver for 2024 while Lawson is an Alpha Tauri reserve driver next season.
