“The Grand Tour” host Richard Hammond will be busy during the break from Season Three and Season Four to make a series about the world’s biggest structures and machines for the Discovery and Science Channels which will be called “Richard Hammond’s Big!”
In the series, Hammond will travel and explore how engineers go about building, maintaining and using the featured superstructures [such as the world’s longest underground railway tunnel] while explaining the science behind them with experiments.
“I love engineering and the science behind it,” says Hammond. “And the bigger the better. It’s going to be fact filled and huge fun. It’s going to be Big!”
In the U.K. it will be on the Discovery Channel, in the U.S.A. it will be on the Science Channel and in Germany, Italy, and Spain it will be on DMAX.
