Another movie about the history of an iconic brand/car is on the way with the fact-based drama, “Silver Ghost”, detailing the backstory behind the creation of Rolls-Royce and the automotive portion of their company. The film will be directed by Asif Kapadia and co-produced by Martin Scorsese.
“Silver Ghost” will tell the true story of not only the iconic car – which emerged from the “Odd-Couple”-style relationship between Charles Stewart Rolls and Sir Frederick Henry Royce – but also of the company’s aviation beginnings and, of course, a love story that accompanies all of it.
Kapadia directed the racing docudrama, “Senna”, about Formula One racing legend Ayrton Senna.
“Silver Ghost” is expected to have a release date in 2017 or 2018.
