American Alexander Rossi will make his Formula One driving debut for the Manor Marussia team at this weekend’s Singapore Grand Prix. The 23-year-old Rossi is set to replace Spaniard Roberto Merhi for five of the remaining eight races – in Singapore, Japan, USA, Mexico and Brazil – before Merhi returns for the Russian and Abu Dhabi races.
Rossi is currently in second in the GP2 circuit and is the first American to race in Formula One since Scott Speed in 2007.
