It will be 1975 all over again for the XFINITY Series race at Darlington Raceway in a few months [specifically, September 3, 2016] as Ryan Reed and Roush Fenway Racing unveiled their No. 16 Ford Mustang inspired by Bobby Allison from the Me Decade.
Reed’s No. 16 Ford Mustang will carry a paint-scheme based on Allison’s No. 16 stock car from 1975, when he won three races, including one at Darlington Raceway.
Allison won the 1983 NASCAR Premier Series championship and earned 84 career victories before being inducted to the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2011.
