Rush Rakes In BAFTA Film Award

“Rush”, the Formula One-themed feature film directed by Ron Howard and based on the 1970s racing rivalry of Brit James Hunt and Austrian Niki Lauda was given the award for best editing in a feature film by the British Academy and Film and Television Arts, a precursor to the Academy Awards. Howard was in London to accept the award for the film which defeated “The Wolf of Wall Street” and “Captain Philips”.

“Rush” was recently struck by two deaths of actors who worked on the film Mauro Pane [who played the stunt double driver for Daniel Bruhl, who played Lauda] and Sean Edwards, who played the role of his father, Guy Edwards [who pulled Lauda from the burning wreckage at the Nurburgring].
