When Sebastian Vettel leaves Ferrari at the conclusion of the 2020 Formula One season, he will make a beeline for the Racing Point team which will be renamed as the Aston Martin team in 2021.
Vettel – the 33-year-old German and four-time F1 world champion – will replace Sergio Perez and terms of the deal were undisclosed.
Vettel is one of the most successful drivers in the history of F1, with 53 race victories – third all-time behind Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton – and his four world titles are surpassed only by only Schumacher, Hamilton and Argentine Juan Manuel Fangio. Vettel won his four consecutive titles with Red Bull from 2010-13.
