Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel got lucky with the timely appearance of the virtual safety car and took the victory at the 2018 Australian Grand Prix over Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes in second place. Vettel’s Ferrari teammate, Kimi Raikkonen, claimed the third and final spot on the podium.
Claiming 25 points for the victory, Vettel now leads Hamilton in the 2018 Formula One season points standings with Hamilton receiving 18 points and Raikkonen in third with 15 points.
