Sebastian Vettel Wins Laureus Award

Red Bull may not be having a pleasant start to the 2014 Formula One racing season but three-time defending Formula One champion Sebastian Vettel is still enjoying the fruits of his past success as he was awarded one of the seven Laureus Awards in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Vettel was given the award for Sportsman of the Year, beating out track and field’s Usain Bolt and Mo Farah, basketball’s LeBron James, soccer’s Cristiano Ronaldo and tennis player Rafael Nadal.

The Laureus World Sports Awards are considered to be the “Oscars” of sports awards and are voted upon by the world’s sports media.
