Sergio Perez Fastest Again On Day Two In Bahrain

The second day of the second testing session at the Sakhir track in Bahrain [but third overall in the season so far] was completed and Force India’s Sergio Perez repeated as fastest on the track with a recorded lap time of 1:35.57 – only marginally slower than his Day One fastest time which was still two seconds off the fastest time recorded so far this season at Sakhir. Meanwhile, the defending champion Red Bull team finally had a day where enough things went right and could keep Daniel Ricciardo behind the wheel and on the track at the same time as they were able to manage their fastest time yet – at 1:35.74 – a nearly full two seconds quicker than their previous best time and Ricciardo was even able to get 66 laps in – more than double yesterday’s output for the RB10.

Red Bull kept their car on the track and recorded a somewhat fast time to boot in Bahrain.

The 2014 Formula One racing season begins with the Australian Grand Prix on March 16, 2014.
