Dutch supercar wannabe automotive firm Spyker has filed for bankruptcy. Spyker has never made a successful run at the Ferraris and Lamborghinis of the world but did make a decade-long try of it. The company will remain in operation in 2015 but beyond that, it is unlikely that there will be a continuation of the supercar portion of the business.
Spyker has lost money in recent years by first attempting to form a Formula One team and then attempting to purchase Swedish automobile manufacturer, Saab.
