The 2018 British Grand Prix is in the books and Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel beat Mercedes’ pole-sitter Lewis Hamilton off the line to win while Hamilton spent most of the race recovering from absorbing a first lap hit from Vettel’s Ferrari teammate, Kimi Raikkonen, who went on to finish third after being dealt a 10-second penalty […]
Entering the 2018 British Grand Prix, Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel led Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton by a single point in the Formula One season driver standings – Vettel padded his lead with a victory while Hamilton was second after he came back from a first lap spin caused by the third place finisher, Vettel’s Ferrari teammate, Kimi […]
The 2018 Austrian Grand Prix is in the books and what at first appeared as though was going to be an easy 1-2 win for Mercedes [as they dominated qualifying and sat on the first row] instead turned into what is referred to nowadays as a “shitshow” with both Mercedes being eliminated on Lap 14 […]
As expected, Lewis Hamilton with a new Mercedes engine, won easily at the 2018 French Grand Prix at the Circuit Paul Ricard. Red Bull’s Max Verstappen came home in a distant second and Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen was an even more distant third. Hamilton was the pole-sitter for the race and led nearly start-to-finish – only […]
Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel won two races this weekend as he took the checkered flag twice at the 2018 Canadian Grand Prix. It was a snoozer of a race as Vettel, starting from the pole, drove away from everybody else and was mostly never seen again while the other five drivers with the most realistic chance […]
Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel won the 2018 Canadian Grand Prix twice – once when the checkered flag was waved a lap early and once again when the race ended a lap later. Mercedes’ Valtteri Bottas was second and Red Bull’s Max Verstappen finished on the podium in the third and final position. It was a snoozer […]
The 2018 Monaco Grand Prix is in the books and – as usual – it was one of the more predictable races of the season, with the top six racers finishing in exactly the same order as which they started. Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo won the race with Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel in second and Mercedes’ […]
Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo finally won the Monaco Grand Prix he should have won a few years earlier but to give you an idea of how much of a snoozer of a race it was, the first six finishers finished in order of how they started – with Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel taking second and Mercedes’ […]
FiA – the governing body behind Formula One racing has banned the wing mirrors used by Ferrari at last weekend’s 2018 Spanish Grand Prix. The FiA did not approve of the way the mirrors were mounted to the halo head-protection device on the car – which did not provide any advantage to either Ferrari as […]
It was a return to the old days for Mercedes at the 2018 Spanish Grand Prix as they produced a 1-2 snoozer that they used to get with regularity two years ago. It was an all-out snoozer for race winner Lewis Hamilton as the pole-sitter but slightly more difficult for his second place teammate, Valtteri […]
Lewis Hamilton finally won his first Formula One race of the 2018 racing season, but not in the dominant fashion he has become accustomed to over the years. Instead, it took a crash by both Red Bull drivers, a mistake by Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel and a tire puncture of his teammate Valtteri Bottas to have […]
The 2018 Chinese Grand Prix is officially in the books and if that is an example of how Formula One racing will be for the remainder of the season – well, it should be interesting. Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo eventually came away with the victory – thanks to some mob hit work from his teammate […]
What looked like a boring procession for the first 20 laps turned into a wild free-for-all in the latter portion of the race as Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo ultimately won the 2018 Chinese Grand Prix thanks to some help from his teammate Max Verstappen who crashed the pole-sitter, Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel into non-contention and harassed […]
Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel started solidly on the pole position for the 2018 Bahrain Grand Prix but barely eeked out the victory as he nursed his well-worn tires home to a half-second victory over Mercedes’ Valtteri Bottas. Bottas’ Mercedes teammate, Lewis Hamilton, started in ninth and finished in the third and final podium spot while Honda […]
Picking up where he left off in 2017, Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel won the 2018 Australian Grand Prix and immediately took the lead in AutoSportsNation’s annual Formula One driver rankings. ASN’s 2017 defending champion, Vettel, took advantage of a timely deployment of the virtual safety car to surpass Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton mid-race and then held off […]

Vettel’s Ferrari teammate, Kimi Raikkonen, claimed the third and final spot on the podium. Claiming 25 points for the victory, Vettel now leads […]

Alfa Romeo announced that they would be partnering with Swiss-based Formula One team Sauber for the 2018 racing year. Alfa Romeo and Sauber will enter into a “multi-year technical and commercial partnership” while still running 2018-spec Ferrari engines for the racing season. Alfa Romeo was last involved in Formula One in 1985.
The 2017 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is in the books and with it, another Formula One racing season. Fittingly, it was a 1-2 Mercedes snoozer as Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton took the top two places with Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel in a distant third. The race was as anti-climactic as the results and ASN awards […]
