In what is possibly a candidate for the best news ever, it has been confirmed that the lame character of “The American” will not be returning for the second season of “The Grand Tour”. The character was played by Mike Skinner, who released the information via his Twitter account…
“FYI I won’t be joining the guys on @thegrandtour 2nd season – I wish them all the luck. My character wasn’t developed as I was told.”
Unfortunate for Skinner – as the character could have been a success if developed more wisely and humorously – but an enormous ray of sunshine for “The Grand Tour” fans who universally disliked the character as it was presented.
“The Grand Tour” resumes Season Two on Amazon Prime on December 8, 2017.
