The Grand Tour Colombia Special Part Two Review

The second part of the Colombia Special on “The Grand Tour” picked up where it left off with entertainment provided by watching James attempt to overtake big rigs in his Fiat Panda and Hammond’s Trump Truck breaking down multiple times before being turned into a temporary bridge. Meanwhile, Jeremy’s Jeep Wrangler extracts the Trump Truck from muddy goo.

After a brief break for a game of football involving the crew and some local Colombians, modifications are made to the vehicles to make it easier to take pictures: Jeremy installs a scissor lift, Hammond erects a camera pod and James puts a camo wrap on the Panda and has a bird call system installed.

After briefly seeking out condors on a volcano, the trio finally discover Pablo Escobar’s escaped hippos and successfully photograph them whilst Jeremy is away.

Overall, ASN awards this episode another 90 and a 90 for the entire special as we found it to be somewhat less blatantly scripted as previous specials.
