“The Lincoln Lawyer” began life as a 2011 feature film starring Matthew McConaughey and now has been rebooted as a new Netflix series premiering Friday, May 13, 2022.
In both the film and the series, the lead character is a Los Angeles-based lawyer named Mickey Haller, played by McConaughey in the film and played by Manuel Garcia-Rulfo in the series, who owns several Lincolns – including the iconic Continental pictured – and works out of the vehicles rather than a traditional office.
The plot of the film/series is that Haller’s former law partner is killed, leaving Haller to take over the firm and a high-profile murder trial. The film/series are based on the bestselling novels by Michael Connelly.
