Actor Dean Jones – aka Jim Douglas from “The Love Bug” – has passed away at age 84. Jones made his name with the iconic Disney movie about a Volkswagen which had a mind of its own [and had one of the all-time best movie intros]. Jones was also in a variety of other Disney movies but it was his battle against the Thorndyke Special in 1968 that made the movie one of Disney’s many classics [although Jones only appeared in one other Love Bug sequel – “Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo”- in 1977].
Jones had suffered from Parkinson’s disease.
