The Man From U.N.C.L.E. And His Cars

The American television series “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.” ran from 1964-68 as a superspy series in the James Bond mold and starred Robert Vaughan as Napoleon Solo and David McCallum as Illya Kuryakin. Along with the usual spy gadgetry came fancy cars, prototypes – and not just any prototypes, prototypes from the Space Age 1960s, the best kind of prototypes – and generally cool cars and vehicles that you will never see in the movies today. The TV series was a moderate hit and now it is being remade as a feature film starring henry Cavill [the newest Superman] in the lead role as Solo and Armie Hammer [the newest Lone Ranger] as Kuryakin.
