The Other Nico – Hulkenberg – Switches To Renault

The other non-Formula One-race-winning Nico – Hulkenberg – is switching teams for 2017, moving from one bottom dweller team [Force India] to another [Renault] for the 2017 racing season.

Hulkenberg, who has had 111 Formula One starts without a win – or even a podium placing – will be exchanging his higher placing Force India seat for the lower placing [currently sitting in ninth place – essentially last place ahead of the non-contending Haas and Manor teams] Renault seat but with a fatter paycheck [approximately $10 million per year] in 2017.

The 29-year-old Hulkenberg, who was part of last year’s winning 24 Hours of LeMans team, will have a two-year contract with an option to renew in 2019.
