NASCAR has banned tandem drafting for the 2014 season at Daytona and Talladega Speedway – tracks where restrictor plates are used – and cars utilizing that familiar tactic during races at those tracks will be black-flagged. The ban of tandem drafting will signal a return to pack racing in days of yore – where drivers draft either in long lines or massive packs.
The Daytona 500 is scheduled for February 23, 2014 at the Daytona International Speedway in Florida.
