Today Is National Mustang Day

Today, in case you were unaware, is National Mustang Day – which you may feel free to interpret any way you like, automobile or equine or any other interpretation – but, naturally, the people at Ford will be interpreting it in the automotive way.

To celebrate the 54th birthday of Ford’s Mustang – as well as its third straight year as best-selling sports car in the world – the Ford team in Dearborn, Michigan, is hosting a “Cars & Coffee” event.

Global Mustang registrations in 2017 totaled 125,809 cars from 80 countries, according to vehicle registration data from IHS Markit. Of those, Ford reported 81,866 of those were, not surprisingly, sold in the United States.

Of course, Ford also created a 67-second Mustang Day video to mark the occasion…
