Tony Stewart Involved In Fatal Incident At New York Sprint Car Track

NASCAR driver and team owner Tony Stewart was racing in a sprint car event at the Canandaigua Motorsports Park during the Lucas Oil Super Sprint feature race when he became entangled with Kevin Ward, Jr. on a turn and the resulting collision sent Ward, Jr. into the wall and out of the race. Ward, Jr. climbed out of his car and waited for Stewart to come around the track and when Stewart finally came around, he hit Ward, Jr. as Ward, Jr. was trying to jump in front of his car to slow him down – killing the 20-year-old driver…
