The sixth episode of the season began with Jeremy overseeing the defeat of the Lexus RC F by the BMW M4 around the vaunted Top Gear test track before he crashed it and replaced it with one of his perennial favorites – the Lexus LFA.
Next came the first installment of the contrived “plot” of the episode where Richard is supposedly marooned on a snow-covered, remote mountaintop and Jeremy and James are tasked with coming to rescue him in a truck race between a Ford and a Chevy.
Former “X-Files” star, Gillian Anderson takes a lap around the track in the Reasonably Priced Car.
Finally, the show concluded with Jeremy beating James to “rescuing” Hammond.
