Toyota Drops H-Bomb At 2014 CES

Toyota always has something for show at the annual International Consumer Electronics Show and 2014 was no different as the Japanese automaker unveiled a hydrogen fuel cell-powered vehicle that will actually go on sale to consumers in 2015. The car uses pure hydrogen mixing with air to create a reaction that produces electricity – and the only expels water vapor as an emission – which then has its energy funneled to a drive motor to power the car. The car, on display at the International CES, is said to go 300 miles on a tank of hydrogen though not very quickly [a 0-60 in a paltry 10 seconds] and will be launched first in California in 2015. No retail price has yet been announced.

The 2014 International Consumer Electronics Show [CES] runs from January 7-10 at the various locations in Las Vegas, Nevada.
