Former Formula One driver Kamui Kobayashi drove the No.7 Toyota GR010 Hybrid Hypercar [along with Mike Conway and Jose Maria Lopez] to victory – just a mere 2.168 seconds ahead of their Toyota sister No. 8 car [driven by Sebastien Buemi, Brendon Hartley and Ryo Hirakawa] in the initial round of the 1000 miles of Sebring 2023.
It was the 40th win in the World Endurance Championship for Toyota.
