USA! USA! USA! – The Grand Tour Is Coming To The USA!

In some of the best possible news for civilization and fans of motoring shows, “The Grand Tour” will be making a stop in the good ole U.S. of A. “The Grand Tour” – the newly-named motoring show on Amazon featuring the former presenters of “Top Gear” Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May – is bringing their live-show format to an undisclosed site in the USA.

According to an Amazon official, after opening in Johannesburg, South Africa later this year, the show will be making live studio recording stops in the UK, USA and Germany.

Although no specifics were given as to which U.S. city would be hosting “The Grand Tour,” former “Top Gear” episodes suggest it will not be New Orleans [or anywhere in the South] and more likely will be West Coast-based, where the trio have made numerous visits. A possible contender is the Pacific Northwest, where Amazon is based and where Jezza, Hamster and Captain Slow have never been [for show purposes].

“The Grand Tour” will debut in Autumn 2016 on the Amazon Prime video service.

In association with the news, Amazon has announced a prize drawing for its customers to win a trip to attend the studio recording which includes travel, accommodation and meeting Clarkson, Hammond and May.
