Verstappen Takes Pole Position For 2021 Styrian Grand Prix

For the second race in a row, Red Bull’s Max Verstappen has won pole position after posting the fastest time in qualifying for tomorrow’s 2021 Styrian Grand Prix.

Verstappen beat out both the Mercedes of Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton in securing the pole position – however, Bottas will be forced to accept a three-place grid penalty after spinning his car in pit lane during the second qualifying session earlier. That means Hamilton will be vaulted from third – and the second row – to start the race alongside Verstappen in the first row.

McLaren’s Lando Norris and Verstappen’s Red Bull teammate, Sergio Perez, will start in the second row ahead of Bottas’ demotion.
