Red Bull’s Max Verstappen and Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel went 1-2 in the first practice session for this weekend’s 2019 USA Grand Prix in Austin, Texas. A mere 0.169 seconds separated the two drivers as both were on the soft tires.
Verstappen’s Red Bull teammate, Alexander Albon, was third and Vettel’s Ferrari teammate, Charles Leclerc, was seventh – just ahead of Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton, the defending Formula One world champion.
