As expected, Red Bull’s Max Verstappen was victorious again at the same track as he was last week in the 2021 Styrian Grand Prix. This time, the snoozefest was called the 2021 Austrian Grand Prix, but that was the only difference in the top result as Verstappen won with Mercedes’ Valtteri Bottas in second and McLaren’s Lando Norris claiming the third and final podium position as seven-time defending Formula One world champion, Lewis Hamilton, elected to pit late in the race and had to settle for fourth place.
With the victory, Verstappen has amassed 182 points and extends his season driver’s standings lead over Hamilton, who has 150 points.
