Four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel was fastest for his new team, Ferrari, in the first day of the testing session at Jerez, Spain, for the upcoming 2015 Formula One season. Vettel’s Ferrari was clocked at 1:22.62 for the fastest lap of the day, beating out Sauber’s Marcus Ericsson by .157 and nearly half a second faster than Mercedes’ Nico Rosberg, last year’s runner-up in the final driver’s standings.
Meanwhile, Rosberg put in the most laps – a whopping 157 – of anybody on Day One at the Jerez test track.
