Lee Duran, a 73-year-old vintage car racer, lost his life when he lost control of the open cockpit 1934 MG PA Special he was driving in a race of pre-World War II cars and flipped the car which hit the edge of the track and landed upside down during the Historics Festival at Lime Rock Park in Connecticut.
It was the first fatality at the Historics Festival in the 32 year history of the event.
