Viva Las Vegas! ASN Returns To The Inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix

Formula One visited Las Vegas for the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix last month and ASN was there to record the scenes in the first-ever grand prix that eventually became one of the signature events on the Formula 1 calendar. ASN revisits some of the scenes from that race weekend.

Fans were divided into two distinct categories for the race – those who had overpriced tickets and those who did not – and for each group, there were options. For those without tickets, there was peering through the fences to catch fleeting glimpses of the cars as they rocketed past at various points of the track.

For those with tickets, there were the zones – such as T-Mobile Zone [above] – where seats could be had to view the fleeting glimpses of cars whizzing past, but only after you survived the [totally expected] long lines at both the Wolfgang Puck-sponsored food booths [unless you wanted chicken salad, plenty of that to choose from] and the beverage booths.
