Volkswagen says goodbye to their iconic Beetle with a video entitled “The Last Mile” – before they make their presence known in tonight’s New Year’s Eve festivities in New York City’s famed Times Square.
The 91-second animated video features Chicago-based Pro Musica Youth Chorus children’s choir singing the Beatles’ mega-hit “Let it Be” before proceeding to subtle depictions of the car’s various celebrity influencers over the car’s 80-year history – actor Kevin Bacon [via his Ren character in “Footloose”], the late artist Andy Warhol and current radio and television talk show host Andy Cohen [who co-hosts CNN’s New Year’s Eve coverage tonight].
