Every time there is a classic car race, there is a chance that somebody’s million[s]-dollar car is going to get crunched. It doesn’t happen very often but when it does – it is typically cringeworthy – as it was this weekend when a three-car pileup occurred between an Aston Martin DBR1, Jaguar XK 120 and an Austin Healey 100 at Autumn Classic at Castle Combe, Wiltshire in the UK. The Aston Martin DBR1 was the same one driven by legendary race car driver Stirling Moss at LeMans in 1959 and was currently valued at $30 million while the Jaguar was worth $150,000 and the Austin Healey was valued at $90,000.
The current owner of the Aston Martin DBR1 is British venture capitalist Adrian Beecroft.
