Williams Bail On 2016 F1 Season, Name Supermodel As Race Photographer

With virtually no chance of making it on the podium at season’s end now that Red Bull’s Russian hitman, Daniil Kvyat, was demoted to Toro Rosso [thereby putting him farther away from potentially crashing into Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel in future races] and Felipe Massa sitting in sixth in the drivers’ points standings and Valtteri Bottas in ninth [after two DNF’s for Vettel, who is in fifth], Williams has apparently decided to cash in their chips on the season and just go for the bling with Martini, their primary sponsor, announcing today that they have hired a supermodel to be their 2016 Formula One Race Photographer beginning with this weekend’s Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona.

28-year-old Brazilian/British/Iraqi supermodel Alice Dellal has been commissioned to capture images of the “lifestyle on and off the track” of selected race cities, which will include “creative collaborations” with Massa and Bottas. But don’t get your hopes up, Austin, Baku or Montreal, following her work in Barcelona, she is only currently scheduled to make appearances during race weekends in Milan, Singapore, Mexico City and Sao Paulo.

Martini has long been a Formula One sponsor for various teams over the years since their debut in 1972 but has only been a sponsor for Williams since 2014.
