Williams Team Announces Covid-19 Cases, 2020 Turkish Grand Prix Will Be Fan-less

Perennial backmarker Williams announced that they have identified an undisclosed number of positive cases of Covid-19 virus accumulated from both the 2020 Portuguese Grand Prix as well as the 2020 Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.

Williams did not identify the specific members of their team who contracted the virus but did say that “several members of our trackside team are also isolating as a result of being identified as close contacts of these positive cases.”

In other news, next weekend’s 2020 Turkish Grand Prix being held in Istanbul [not Constantinople] will be conducted without fans as will the season-ending December 13, 2020 race in Abu Dhabi.

The two races in between the 2020 Turkish Grand Prix and Abu Dhabi Grand Prix are both being held in Bahrain, where race officials are currently indicating that fans will not be allowed but the stands will instead be offered to be filled by the country’s health workers.
