WRC 6 Finally Hits US Shores! Check Out Our Exclusive Prize Giveaway!

The latest installment of the World Rally Championship video game series, WRC 6, finally races onto American consoles this month from Bandai Namco Entertainment America and Bigben Interactive. American console owners will finally get all the rally racing action they’ve been craving, with the latest game based on the FIA World Rally Championship. With the release, console owners in the United States will be able to experience the thrill of racing through the dirt, snow and sand. Additionally, fans of WRC 6 are in for a special treat. To celebrate the release of WRC 6, Racing Games Central is running a special prize giveaway, featuring a Playseat Gaming Seat, Thrustmaster Pro Racing Wheel and a digital copy of WRC 6 (Xbox One or PS4) for the Grand Prize winner, and up to 5 copies WRC 6 for additional winners.

The console release for the US will include all 14 official rallies, the official drives and dreams for the latest season of the racing series. This will give players an authentic and complete rally racing experience that’s accessible to racing fans new and old. The game will be available in North and South America, save for Brazil, starting this month, and it will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC via Steam.

The new game offers an authentic simulation of the extreme world rally motorsports. The tracks in the game have been reproduced from real-life tracks, along with the featured teams. Players will get to play as real-life drivers as well from the actual World Rally Championship. The console release also features 11 brand-new Super Special Stages. These stages feature both driving challenges and the iconic environments taken from around the world. Another great feature for WRC 6 is the realistic vehicle physics. As a World Rally racing game, WRC 6 does a fantastic job of mimicking the behavior and physics of the actual motorsport vehicles in a way racing games can rarely, if ever, pull off.

Another exciting aspect to the game is that gamers can enjoy split-screen multiplayer, so friends can enjoy the experience at home. Other gameplay options include the new stages, weekly challenges and the eSports WRC Championship.

The graphics from the announcement trailer look top-notch, and the transition from footage of actual live races to the game looks nearly seamless. The next-gen graphics have certainly done this series a lot of good. This looks like it will quite possibly be the most realistic rally motorsports game to date.

The weekly changes are another great added bonus to the game, along with its overall replay value. Every week, the developers offer special, preset challenges with specific rules and restrictions. The last challenge was the Shakedown. The Weekly Challenges offer some fun competitive gameplay time between players where they can compete against other players’ best times through in-game events. For the latest challenge, the Shakedown, players have to finish a single rally stage under various conditions. They have to use a pre-selected team, a faulty handbrake, or a simple time attack. Rewards from the Weekly Challenges include special badges, and players can place in the general rankings after each Challenge for all platforms in which the game is available. The Weekly Challenges offer an excellent way for players to help prepare for competing in the 2017 eSports WRC season.

The Special Stages look like they’ve been impeccably designed. These are some of the most realistic looking in-game race tracks ever seen, and they’ve been ripped straight out of real life. They definitely add another layer of comprehensive authenticity to WRC 6. That comes through with how the game has recreated the harsh road conditions and obstacles of the tracks for rally motorsports. Combined with the great racing sim elements, WRC 6 looks to be like one of the most realistic and authentic racing game experiences in recent memory.

Speaking in an official press release on the upcoming release of WRC 6 this month, Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. Vice President of Marketing, Eric Hartness, stated:
