this is a disgrace to drifting. I’m sorry but if you can’t follow you don’t deserve to win the round. I remember it didn’t matter what you did in your lead run. you as a professional driver should be able to adjust your driving according to the other car. if you stop cause the car in front is drifting slow, or you can’t keep good distance, you lose period.

Does any one else like think adding a score system like we have in our video games might help.
Look up red bull shifters, that way of scoring makes it way more sence for the new fans that are trying to follow formula drifting. I am a las vegas native and from my personal experience I can tell you guys that events like this one are the main reason we weren’t getting the amount expectators needed to bring formula drift back to vegas.

I think there needs to be a more democratic voting system, 3 people can’t hold all of the power…

Two things strike me as comment-worthy: first, I know the judges are trying to do their best to keep things fair, but these 2013 insiders seem to be a lot about explaining the judges’ calls and second, you know something is amiss when the nicest guy in the series, Joon Maeng, goes personally to the judges to contest a call. Maybe he bobbled the lead run, but Angelo initiated later than Joon and should be responsible for tracking with a moving clipping point. Just two cents. Still going to watch.

I agree 100 percent with the two comments below me we need some way to tell the speed of these vehicles as they’re in the turn for this single purpose would definitely make things a lot easier to judge

Speed is not something that should be subjective. If there’s a way to give an accurate speed of a given car around the ENTIRE track, not just entry, it would be much easier to squash controversy. Perhaps some kind of GPS box or radar. These speeds could be displayed on screen during a run.
You would much more clearly see a dip in speed if a car did indeed stall. And during practice runs, you’d get an idea of a drivers speed to compare competition runs with. As well as a tool for spotters

Thank you for explaining the calls, but I still believe the restart cone should have a black or white rule.
