Formula One Announces 2025 Calendar
Formula One announced the 2025 racing calendar with the Australian Grand Prix currently scheduled to return to its traditional position as the first race of the new season on March 16 in 2025.
The race in Melbourne had traditionally been the first race virtually every year since it made its debut in 1996 until the recent Covid-19 pandemic altered the worldwide landscape and led to Bahrain temporarily replacing it as the first race in the last few years coupled with the timing of the holy month of Ramadan delaying the races in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia in 2025.
Melbourne is currently contractually guaranteed to host the opening race four more times until 2032.
The 2025 season will end in Abu Dhabi on December 7, 2025.
