Japanese Grand Prix Set To 2029
Formula One has signed the Japanese Grand Prix at the Suzuka circuit for five more years – until at least the 2029 season – after successfully fending off a street race challenge from Osaka.
Traditionally held in September, the 2024 Japanese Grand Prix is moving to a new home this year – in April – as part of Formula 1’s initiative to become more sustainable and become a net-zero carbon event by 2030 by aligning it with races on the calendar in its region [Australia and China].
The Suzuka circuit is owned by Honda and first hosted F1 in 1987.
The 2024 Japanese Grand Prix is currently scheduled for April 7, 2024.
