NASCAR’s Terry Labonte Retires
NASCAR’s third all-time driver in series starts, Terry Labonte, will officially retire after the GEICO 500 at Talladega this weekend. Labonte [57] won the NASCAR driver’s title in 1984 and 1996 and currently sits third all-time in series starts in the racing organization with 891 [including the GEICO race] behind “The King”, Richard Petty [1,190], and Ricky Rudd [906].
Labonte has 34 NASCAR wins total in his 36-year career – 22 in Sprint Cup series, 11 in Nationwide series and one in the truck racing series.
