it means different things to different people, you might not feel like this is NASCAR to you, but for someone else this is exactly what NASCAR is to them.

The sounds, squeaks pops and groans, also add to my enjoyment of tennis as a spectator. Sounds are a great criteria for judging sports:-)

Yes. And the engineering. Not that I watch NASCAR, just trying to understand why someone would.

Nascar is most popular in the American south. Auto racing in America was historically tied to the smuggling of moonshine. It’s easier to race cars in rural areas than it is in the city.

So: American South, alcohol, country people. Add those things together, and you get people with lower IQs and less money.

To sum it up. Idiots watch NASCAR. That’s a fact!

I think you answered your own question there. That and the fans. Hearing two rednecks talk about Ford vs Chevy as if the cars on the track have anything in common with the cars in their driveway is annoying.

and what exactly makes Formula 1 different from NASCAR, except for the lap numbers, race layouts, and how the cars are.

We have formula 1, but we have had NASCAR here in the south for a long time and people around here are very set in their ways. It has spread across the US I think because if its simplistic nature.
I think it is boring as hell myself……

I love NASCAR and it is a fun sport to watch oddly enough and yea I also watch robot wars. The final laps are so insane its amazing to me 3 or 4 wide coming into the final turn. And I am black. I enjoy it alot and Dale Earnhardt was awesome to watch. I am in the minority but I have to disagree with ya buddy. But I love ya vids nonetheless keep them up

Stock cars are still “stock” because they are built mostly from stock parts except for the skin, transmission, and various high-speed safety measures. The engines largely resemble cars that roll out of the factory, although the engines are of course highly tuned for racing conditions, as is the rest of the car. As others have said, the car design is so strictly regulated that the cars are all practically identical, the drivers really do make a big the biggest difference.
    But I still hate NASCAR.

The reason NASCAR is so popular is its easy to follow. Americans are simple and don’t wanna think. Watch a WRC race, those are exciting!
