Carlos Sainz, Jr. Gets His Watch Back

Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz, Jr. capped off an eventful week by retrieving his expensive watch from would-be thieves in Milan and has thanked Milanese police as well as members of the public for subduing the thieves.

Sainz, Jr. won pole position for last weekend’s 2023 Italian Grand Prix and then went on to finish on the podium in third place after fighting off teammate Charles Leclerc in the dying laps of the race.

After the race, Sainz, Jr. was reportedly targeted by thieves who were after his wristwatch [reportedly worth approximately $325,000] but Sainz, Jr., his bodyguard, members of the public and Milanese police all helped in catching the thieves and retrieving the Spaniard’s watch.
