Been a Jimmie Johnson fan since he sat behind the wheel – grew up two miles
away from him. Like him or not, he is a champion; he never gives up, never
stops improving. You don’t hear Chad Knaus telling him Sorry, I got
nothing in my toolbox to make the car any better (like Ratliffe said to
Kenseth last weekend, 100 laps in). And those other guys, champions of
their time. Twenty years from now the reigning champ would likely be able
to drive circles around JJ. That’s the way it is. Doesnt make him any
    less a champion.

Wow! I’m not a NASCAR fan but this commercial makes the skin on the back
of your head tighten up. Who is the voice-over artist to this? Great job
ESPN and NASCAR on the commercial concept! I can see a lot of future
applications of this advertisement idea to other major sports in America.

Give him credit but he is no where on the level of Earnhardt. Greatest of
his generation, but not the best of all time. He can win 12 championships
under this point system that rewarded him second chances despite being out
of title contention under the format Petty and Earnhardt raced under.

I rather see it has a non sport, sports fans have hate for each other,
NASCAR is like cheering for several drivers, no hate for a specific driver
or group of guys. I root for 7 different drivers, but enjoy seeing anyone
win. No rivalry in nascar ! We pray for each other !

Why is car racing a sport ? I love racing and I did race, but calling it a
sport may not be true. Everything said about why it is a sport also applies
for taxi cab drivers all over the world. Also applies to truck drivers !!!
Are we soon to consider any remote control operator an athlete ?

To all the morons who mentioned the 24…Uhhh… Gordon has 4, JJ has 5. He
already passed him. Why would he even be in it? Tards…

I cannot stand JJ, but this commercial is so true. He may just end up being
    the greatest ever.

The background song is Sunshine (Adagio In D Minor) by John Murphy. Also on
    the new X-Men trailer.

why does espn treat it’s promos the way it should treat it’s presentations?
Commercial is awesome, but Dick Petty couldn’t hold Earnhardt or Johnson
nutstraps for a lap. Winning 20 times a year against a dozen and a half
local hacks at a state fair doesn’t make you a legend.

Ahh. The Chevy lumina #3. The last ever TRUE stock car. Man I miss that era
of racing. If Dale Sr. Was still with us he would have won 8 or 9 cups for
    sure.
