Also, the reason I pointed those two out is because those are the only two rides with Cup regulars that are winning on a frequent basis. You’ll probably say that Cup regulars are dominating the Nationwide Series which is true, but with only two exceptions, both Daytona races, it’s always been someone in either the 54 or the 22.

Kyle bringing in the Monster sponsorship creates the opportunity for both Coulter and Herring to showcase their talent when Kyle isn’t in the car. While Coulter has a ride in the Truck Series, where would Herring be without Kyle right now? He wouldn’t be racing in the Nationwide Series that’s for sure.
Also, if you can’t compete with the big dogs on Saturday, then you can’t compete with them on Sunday.

Do you enjoy misrepresenting what people say or are you just that stupid?
If Kyle wasn’t running that Monster car most of the time then Drew Herring and Joey Coulter would both be out of a ride. If Brad wasn’t running that Discount Tire car most of the time then Ryan Blaney wouldn’t have a ride and AJ Allmendinger wouldn’t have gotten a second chance from Roger Penske.
The Cup drivers never run the full schedule and the sponsorship they bring in creates opportunities for young drivers.

Oh cool, you came up with such a long list of two sponsors. Two huge sponsors, that would never ever sign to other drivers. I mean, where would the Nationwide series be without these two sponsors. It would crumble. You should work for Nascar with all your extensive knowledge and in-depth research and observations.

Are you really that ignorant? Do you honestly think that without Kyle, Monster would be sponsoring the 54 car? Or without Brad Discount Tires would be sponsoring the 22? Kyle/Brad running the Nationwide Series is what keeps Monster/Discount Tires sponsorship on the car so that it can be driven by a young and up coming driver occasionally. No Kyle, no Monster, no Monster car. No Brad, no Discount Tires, no Discount Tires car.

Salder and Smith are both in Nationwide for the same reason as Vickers, trying to get a full time Cup ride. I wouldn’t be surprised if come time for Jeff Gordon to retire, Rick Hendrick tabs Smith to drive the 24. As for Sadler, his performance in Cup was reasonable, not spectacular but not horrid either.
Those old guys are in the Trucks Series because the Trucks have always been sort of a “senior tour”, a place for Cup veterans who are past their prime to keep earning a living.

They take sponsorships away from teams that could probably use it. But ok…..

Unfortunately, the Cup stars are what brings in the sponsorship dollars to keep the teams running for the up-and-comers. Without Kyle Busch running Nationwide races in the 54, the Monster money wouldn’t be there for guys like Owen Kelly, Drew Herring, and Joey Coulter to showcase their talent.

Guys like Sadler, Smith, and Hornish are in Nationwide because they couldn’t make it in Cup. Vickers is there because he’s working himself back into full time racing due to his health from a couple seasons ago. Which I understand, he doesn’t want to be just dropped into Cup full time with all the time he missed. Older guys like Hornaday and Schrader are in trucks because they simply can’t compete on the same level they used to in Cup. Hell, they even have trouble in the truck series.

trucks and nationwide is not for just young drivers. look how many veterans race in those series, hornaday, mike wallace, shepard, and so on. k&n east and west is for young talent to prove they got what it takes to race in the trucks and nationwide.

Long time nascar fans have been saying this for a long time and its 100% true. Your right i don’t know why nascar lets it go one there are so many drivers out there that are looking for set time that cant get it because cup guys cant stay in cup. It kinda defeats the hole point of nationwide and truck!!!

NascarHorizon, allenrw3, and tjgman24885, you three are all wrong. Nationwide/Trucks do not exist entirely for rookies. That’s what’s K&N is for, and I don’t see Kyle Busch or any other cup driver racing in K&N. If it was for rookies, explain to me why people like Elliott Sadler, Regan Smith, Sam Hornish, and Brian Vickers race in Nationwide? Or how about people like Ron Hornaday, Ken Schrader, and Matt Crafton in Trucks? Do you complain when those guys win instead of the “rookies”?

By racing in them. Him and every other Cup regular that keeps taking away wins, sponsorships, and exposure from the guys that race in their respective series week in and week out. The truck series and Nationwide series are for rookies to get seat time, not for Cup regulars to pad their driver stats and wallets. The fact that I have to explain this is disturbing.
